book cover art is a trip
I just finished my nth Philip K. Dick book, The Penultimate Truth, and, like with an occasional book of his here and there, didn't really get it. A few Wikipedia clicks later, I come across this site
I've been collecting the Vintage printings of his works, as I really like the consistency of the typeface they use for his name. But after seeing some of the earlier book covers, I kind of wish I was snooping around antique book stores instead of Amazon.com
The Vintage ones always kind of look like this:
but the earlier prints are wicked:

what's great about this one is that there really isn't much of a woman character in the book, but whatevs, i'd totes be checking it out:

Red Abbott 8-bit easter animation
Something I whipped up for Easter. I really wanted to take a stab at the 8-bit thing. It's tougher than I thought. I kind of had to cheat. I don't know how those guys were able to do it back then.
What was cool and coincidental about this one was that after I had the idea for to do an 8 bit animation, I received the Venture Brother's Season 3 DVD and all of it's DVD menus were in the same old Atari Style.
In addition to that, just now checking Kotaku, on Easter one of the writers there did a whole thing on "easter eggs" (like, hidden surprises) in old Atari games.

Apparently I'm in tune with the things I surround myself with anyway.

an animation submission for promoting Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
I got an honorable mention, which meant a personal reply from DJ Douggpound. "That was gay"
it was more than i could have asked for
